Our mindfulness workshops are focused on introducing people to mindfulness through discussion and hands-on practice. An introductory workshop can be an excellent way to get a taste of what mindfulness practice involves.

In all of our workshops, we introduce mindfulness as “an awareness that comes when we pay attention,on purpose, to the present moment, with kindness and without judgment.

Mindfulness and Stress

This one hour workshop is an introduction to the 8-week Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course (and our next MBSR course will be starting on October 29th). In the workshop, we will introduce mindfulness and discuss how mindfulness can be helpful in dealing with stress, anxiety, pain, and help us find greater peace in our lives. This workshop is recommended for anyone who is interested in taking our MBSR course, and serves as the orientation for that class.

Diving into mindfulness

An introductory workshop (typically lasting about an hour and a half) that introduces mindfulness practice.

Much of the workshop focuses on mindfulness practices: mindful eating, meditation, and developing our awareness of the body.

Our goal is that each person will leave with a deeper understanding of mindfulness, and several practices that they can experiment with in their own lives.
