Our mindfulness workshops are focused on introducing people to mindfulness through discussion and hands-on practice. An introductory workshop can be an excellent way to get a taste of what mindfulness practice involves.
In all of our workshops, we introduce mindfulness as “an awareness that comes when we pay attention, on purpose, to the present moment, with kindness and without judgment.“
Mindfulness and Life
This one hour workshop is an introduction to the 8-week Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course. In the workshop, we will introduce mindfulness and discuss how mindfulness can be helpful in dealing with stress, anxiety, pain, and help us find greater peace in our lives. This workshop is recommended for anyone who is interested in taking our MBSR course, and serves as the orientation for that class.
Upcoming workshops
Our next free workshop will be an orientation for our next 8-week mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) course. This orientation will be held on Monday, June 16th (6-7:30pm) at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Crawfordsville (located at 212 S Green St.).
The program for this orientation will be to provide an overview of the 8-week course, answer your questions, and to give a general introduction to mindfulness practice.
